The Olympic Spirit

Albert Einstein couldn't have summarized the Olympic Spirit better.

The Beijing Olympics which started on 8th of August this year (Incidentally my birthday :) is one of the greatest sporting events known to mankind. From a relatively small beginning, Olympics have grown to become the pride of every nation which sends its best sportsmen and women to compete in this mighty sporting event.
The Olympic motto is Citius Altius Fortius - Faster, Higher, Stronger
As i watch every single event in this massive event, my heart is filled with a plethora of emotions ranging from Pride, Joy, Amazement to an absolute reverence for all those young men and women who seem to carry their nations to glory by winning a single game.
The determination, gut and sheer perseverance of these warriors is something worth soaking oneself in...
Many a times i am left wondering... what is it that drives these people to play better than anyone else at the game...? What is it that keeps pushing them to perform? What is it that gives them the joy of doing it again and again?
If it can be done in sports, It can be done elsewhere isn't it?
If it has to be done elsewhere what would it take? Why look elsewhere, can it start from us? From me?
