When is a book not just a book? If you are an avid reader, or even someone who occasionally turns a few pages to keep boredom at bay - you will know what i am talking about.
There are books and there are 'The Books' which go beyond the realm of being a few pages bound together by glue.
I sure have had my share of 'The Books' which have moved my heart, spoken to me, taught me a lesson and made me dream of great big things in life. But just in case you did think that this blog is about my favourite books - you are mistaken! Well not completely i guess - It is about my favourite comic book :) It is so ingrained into my system that it no longer continues to be a comic book - it is a treasure, a cherished possession that I shall hand over to my child on my death bed - ah well not that filmy!!! But seriously - I love this book - you get the idea don't you?
Are you wondering when am i going to tell you what 'The Book' is?!!!
Let me lead you to the answer - 'The Boy Reporter with a Snow Dog' :) Aha - 95% of you would have got it at the Boy Reporter and well the rest 5% of you at the Snow Dog - And if you still dont know who i am talking about - well tough luck mate you don't live in my world!!!
The Adventures of Tintin is prehaps one of the greatest books close to the hearts of generations of children and adults. And just last month i got myself a DVD version of this series. But i must say it doesn't have the same kind of thrill that a paperback holds... For all you Tintin fans out there... Well, this is my tiny bit proclaiming my love for The Man (or wait he is The Boy :)
